The large screen size often allows them to leave their tablet at home, and gives them a much better experience for video, gaming, productivity and multi-tasking.
SAN DIEGO, CA. December 4th, 2024 – Owners of large screen foldable phones are using their tablets and laptops less, according to a new report from UX Connect that examines existing behaviors of foldable phones.
The large screen size often allows them to leave their tablet at home, and gives them a much better experience for video, gaming, productivity and multi-tasking.
The report also found that size is a key driver for both compact and large foldable owners – with compact owners purchasing a foldable phone for being small and discrete, while large owners purchase them for the increased screen size when open, but are still easy to carry around.
Paul Brown, report author and Head of Research at UX Connect said:“The screen crease or hinge is a major concern for foldable owners. Many have experienced issues with the screen/crease being unreliable or breaking. This is something the manufacturers need to improve.”
