LATAM will match the status of passengers from any other frequent flyer program of airlines operating in the region
• The status that the traveler has in the loyalty program of another airline will be equal to the equivalent LATAM Pass Elite category: Gold, Gold Plus, Platinum or Black.

• To make the request, travelers must go to the page latam.statusmatch.com between April 12 and May 12, 2022.

• Customers whose status is equalized may also apply for a category upgrade when requesting the LATAM Pass VISA credit card from Banco de Bogotá or Banco de Occidente.

Bogotá, April 12, 2022. LATAM Airlines, in partnership with StatusMatch.com, officially launched an exclusive campaign for travelers in Colombia that seeks to match the status of airline loyalty program partners operating in the region, with the category LATAM Pass frequent flyer program equivalent elite: Gold, Gold Plus, Platinum, and Black.

The campaign will run from April 12 to May 12, 2022 and includes frequent flyer programs from airlines in the region including North America, Central America and South America. In this way, customers will have access to the LATAM Pass program, making use of the matched category.

To request status matching, travelers with a LATAM Pass account must go to the page www.latam.statusmatch.com, fill out the application and send the required information that includes, among other things, their LATAM Pass membership number, the card of the other frequent flyer program and some proof of their status in it. In the event that the client does not have a membership number for the LATAM Pass program, they must register for the program on the page www.latam.com.

If the person meets the conditions for status match, three (3) business days after applying, they will receive a response that their application has been approved. Once notified, in approximately six (6) business days your status will be matched in LATAM Pass and you will receive an email confirming the process. You can enjoy the new status until March 31, 2023 and after that date you must meet the qualification goals to maintain it or to access a higher category.

Program benefits include priority check-in and boarding, extra baggage, and lounge access based on assigned Elite status. Likewise, once the match has been made, the traveler may apply for a category increase when requesting the LATAM Pass VISA credit card from Banco de Bogotá or Banco de Occidente.

“Status matching is an excellent alternative for customers who want to have a new loyalty program because it has no cost and the effort they have made to reach an elite status in their previous program is recognized. Likewise, for an airline like LATAM it is a powerful tool to attract valuable members that strengthen its loyalty program,” said Cristian Carrizo, General Director of Loyalty Strategy at LATAM Pass.

LATAM Pass Benefits

LATAM Pass has positioned itself as a highly competitive traveler program given its benefits on four fronts: mileage accrual and redemption policies; services associated with the flight such as cabin upgrade, seat selection, seat space, baggage; exchange policies and preferential services.
